Come and join us for a fun event to gather the Rossland fall fruit harvest!
Time: 10:30 am Saturday the 14th
Place: Meet in the parking lot of Ecole des Sept-sommets (Monte Christo St between 1st and 2nd), car/cargo bike recommended.
Bring: Friends (or make friends), boxes/bins/bags for harvest, optional fruit picking equipment (ladder, step stool, tarp).
I'll do a quick run-through of the app (and hand out maps if needed), we'll split into areas of the town, then everyone will go and have a nice time collecting fruit until they have enough.
If you want to make cider, book a time for the big apple press the weekend of Sept 28-29, or borrow the little press. See this link for info: https://linktr.ee/rosslandfruit

Look on the bright cider life, and join us this Saturday!
You couldn't pick a better way to spend your morning!
Rain or Shine it will be fruitful! Looks like there's a weather window in the forecast from 10-12!
Had a great time with another young family. Good old fashion family fun. Kids roaming the streets, knocking on doors, picking apples and plums. Fruit finder app is amazing! Deffinitly worth checking out. Maybe there is a plum pie hanging in a tree closer than you think! Definitely still a lot of fruit on trees.
Ladder, picker, dehydrator and vacuumed sealer all available at the library.
Thanks for organizing Eliza, Food Security Task Force and the Bear Smart Task Force.
