RCAC Online Art Auction!

Mondays to Saturdays Aug 19 to Sep 22 12:00 am

Bid and Win Hand-Carved Sculptures and Art Chairs in the RCAC 2022 Online Art Auction! The Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC) presents their 2022 Online Art Auction from July 28th to November 1st, 2022. They invite everyone to scan our Public Art QR codes or visit to check out the stunning, local items up for bid! The Auction offers three hand-carved wood sculptures from the 2020 Wood Carving Symposium, and four locally painted adirondack art chairs from the 2022 Art Chair Project. The “Encounters in the Woods” Wood Carving Symposium hosted by the RCAC in 2020, featured three BC sculptors: Lars Baggenstos, Michael Penny and Mike Williams. They each created a piece later displayed on Rossland’s most popular walking venue, Centennial Trail. The 2022 Art Chair Project is one of Rossland’s public art celebrations. Four beautiful adirondacks are scattered around town after having been painted by an artist in Rossland itself. We are more littered than most with talented and exploratory artists in a community of this size and the RCAC wanted to showcase public art even more in 2022. The Rossland Council for Arts and Culture is committed to promoting artists, public art, and the opportunity for the community to support them as well. Access the Auction by plugging into your internet search bar, or use your smartphone to scan the QR code (like you’re taking a picture) hanging on each item for bid. Once you are on the website, create an account and start bidding! You will not be charged for making a bid. If the winner of the Auction is in the Rossland/Trail Area we will coordinate the delivery of the item(s). If you are beyond this area, we will work with you to determine the best course of action to get the item(s) to you. Those who are looking to take their art collection to the next level: BID. Those who are excited to actually own something they would never create themselves: BID. Those artists who know quality and mastery when they see it: BID. Click the pink “Contact Us” on the website page, or email for any questions. Good luck to all until November 1st when the Auction closes November 1st! Access the Auction and more information at
