The Rossland Community Pottery Society has membership spots available for the upcoming year. We are a small communal studio space located in the basement of the Miner's Hall which offers the equipment needed to wheel throw or slab build as well as glaze and fire your pieces.
We are not equipped to teach the basics of pottery and we ask all of our new members have some previous experience with pottery when they join. We ask that you:
- know how to operate a wheel safely (if you choose to use one, not mandatory)
- know how to properly construct and dry pieces (slab or thrown) so they do not explode in the kiln
- know how to properly glaze pieces so as not to cross contaminate our glazes.
Please also note our space is not for creators looking for a studio rental to produce pieces for sale.
