God is a Scottish Drag Queen Christmas Special

Tuesday December 14 7:30 to 9:15 pm
Wednesday December 15 7:30 to 9:15 pm

Trail and District Arts Council is thrilled to bring back this epic performer to the Kootenays! As The Bailey Theatre continues renovations, Rossland Miners’ Hall welcomes critically acclaimed and award-winning Canadian comedian Mike Delamont to the stage. He brings you God, dressed in an all-new holiday power suit, come down from heaven to set the record straight and expound on everything from the beginnings of Christmas with Yule, Saturnalia and Winter Solstice, to holiday foods, Christmas carols, Star Wars, the true story of the Nativity, and even Tiny Tim!! This is the best and only way to celebrate Jesus's birthday!

This show blends together the nostalgia of holidays gone by, a hilarious and laugh-out-loud look at the holidays of today, and a heartwarming and perfectly sweet peek at holidays yet to come! The Christmas Special has become the most popular show of the entire series and is an absolute must see! You will never look at EggNog the same way again!

God Is a Scottish Drag Queen” has become the most popular show on the Canadian Fringe circuit, winning more than 18 'Best of the Fest' awards, and this Christmas spin on the much-admired series, described as "A cross between Dame Edna & Billy Connolly with a dollop of Eddie Izzard!", is an instant holiday classic for the adults in the family.
