Shrek at the Silver Screen Drive-in

August 14 9:00 to 10:30 pm

The mean Lord Farquaad exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grumpy ogre, “Shrek”. Shrek sets out with a very loud donkey by his side to 'persuade' Farquaad to give Shrek his swamp back. Instead, a deal is made. Farquaad, who wants to become the King, sends Shrek to rescue Princess Fiona, who is awaiting her true love in a tower guarded by a fire-breathing dragon. But once they head back with Fiona, it starts to become apparent that not only does Shrek, an ugly ogre, begin to fall in love with the lovely princess, but Fiona is also hiding a huge secret.

“While simultaneously embracing and subverting fairy tales, the irreverent Shrek also manages to tweak Disney's nose, provide a moral message to children, and offer viewers a funny, fast-paced ride.” – Rotten Tomatoes

“Shrek is alive, and with dark, sly and absolutely hilarious irreverence lampooning every once-sacred characteristic of the nursery kingdom. Shrek is a subversive joy.” - Alexander Walker, London Evening Standard

“With the perfect blend of storytelling, animation, and music this is one movie (Shrek) the whole family can enjoy!” - Allison Rose, FlickDirect
