"Jurassic Park” is a spectacle of special effects and life-like animatronics, with some of Spielberg's best sequences of sustained awe and sheer terror since “Jaws”.
Huge advancements in scientific technology have enabled mogul John Hammond to create an island full of living dinosaurs. To see this “miracle” he has invited four scientists, along with his two grandchildren, to join him for a sneak preview of “Jurassic Park” before it’s open to the public. After a park employee attempts to steal dinosaur embryos, critical security systems are shut down and a power failure causes the park's cloned dinosaurs to run loose. A paleontologist, one of the visitors to the new theme park, must protect the children. Will everyone survive now the dinosaurs roam free.

About the Silver Screen Drive-in
The Royal Theatre and Trail & District Arts Council have joined forces to imagine your new, favourite summer experience, the Silver Screen Drive-in. Running from June to September, films will screen Thursday through Saturday at sunset in the Waneta Plaza upper parking lot. Upcoming films will include those event movies that you’ve missed seeing on a big screen, retro classics from comedy to horror, as well as those Sunday Cinema favourites been as well as Oscar winning independent films and documentaries. Plus, live performances of music, theatre, dance and more!
