#CultureDays is a national celebration of our incredible arts and culture across the country - this year's theme is: Creativity, the Arts, and Well-being! Participatory arts and culture events are popping up all over Canada and BC, and we've gathered a bunch of exciting free or low-cost events by our local orgs and businesses here in Rossland!
Culture Days is Friday, September 27th to Sunday, September 29th, though we've snuck a few cultural events in for Thursday too because Rossland is a busy place!!

Alpine Grind has art gallery space featuring Nathan D. French
Thursday:
Rossland Mountain Market Farmer's Market w/ lots of vendors, food and drink, and live music by The Tree Huggers - 3-6pm
Drawn to Natural History Kids Program at the Museum 3-5pm - $12 for Museum members; $13 for non-members
cabine is hosting a Mountain Cross Stitch | Adult Beginner workshop 7-9:30pm - $65/person (please register ahead)
Jenny Lester & Friends at the Grind! 7:30pm (pizza being served at 6pm-until it runs out!) - $20 available at Alpine Grind
Friday:
Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre open by donation 11am to 5pm
Travelling Exhibition - Gold Mountain Dream! 金山梦 open by donation 11am to 5pm
cabine is hosting a Watercolour Painting | Adult Beginner workshop 6-8pm - $65/person (please register ahead)
Saturday:
Rossland Youth Action Network and Rossland Mountain Film Festival are hosting a Youth Workshop - Cam Camp at the Rossland Skate Park $40 (please register w/ Rossland Recreation ahead of time)
Madhu Collective is hosting CommUnity Yoga @ 10am - by donation
Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre open by donation 11am to 5pm
Rossland Arts Centre Society will be hosting their very first community art project - they'll be taking over the Museum's lawn for the whole community to come out and help create a piece of public art that you may just see on display in downtown Rossland in the coming months! 11am on the Museum lawn
Travelling Exhibition - Gold Mountain Dream! 金山梦 open by donation 11am to 5pm
Rossland Sustainability Commission Energy Crawl from 12-2 (maps available at the Rossland Public Library)
Saturday STEAM Day at the Museum for a fun arts-focused activity from 2-4pm by donation
Celebrate Olaus Jeldness' 163rd Birthday w/ Richie Mann and the Rossland Museum at the Rossland Beer Company - 7pm (limited seating)
For our visual artists (West Kootenay-wide), don't forget that the Rossland Arts Council's Call for Submissions for Life in the Kootenays Exhibition for their upcoming juried art exhibition will close Monday, September 30th.
