June 13 7:00 to 8:00 pm

The Trail & District Arts Council is very excited to bring you Kootenay Savings Music In The Park once again this year.

Trail Maple Leaf Band kicks off Musaic in the Park this year with orchestral, band & popular tunes for their century celebration season!

Joining them this year will be the Trail Pipe Band will be playing pipe band favourites from their huge repertoire. Trail Pipe Band is 95 years old in 2019 and today the band has an active roster of 10 pipers and 7 drummers in performance led by Pipe Major Gordon Titsworth, a 30 year veteran of the band.

The tartan kilts they wear today are modeled after the uniform of the Scots Guards: Royal Stuart tartan kilts and plaids; with green tunics for the pipers and red tunics for the drummers.  Their goal is to promote the Scottish tradition by teaching the arts of piping and drumming. For more info go to their website http://www.trailpipeband.ca.
