February 24 4:30 to 6:45 pm

The story of Dick Cheney, an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as Vice President to George W. Bush, reshaping the country and the globe in ways that we still feel today.

“It's an ugly story of corruption... And it works, both as a comedy and a scathing indictment of Cheney.” - Adam Graham, Detroit News

Governor George W Bush of Texas picks Dick Cheney, the CEO of Halliburton Co, to be his Republican running mate in the 2000 presidential election. No stranger to politics, Cheney's impressive résumé includes stints as White House chief of staff, House Minority Whip and defence secretary. When Bush wins by a narrow margin, Cheney begins to use his newfound power to help reshape the country and the world.

"Vice offers more than rage-bait for liberal moviegoers. If this is in some respects a monster movie, it’s one that takes a lively and at times surprisingly sympathetic interest in its chosen demon." - A.O. Scott, The NYTimes

"McKay treats the movie as a slightly cracked burlesque. He turns history into a rollicking circus for liberals, inviting us to revel in Dick Cheney's Greatest Hits Of Infamy." - Owen Gleiberman, Variety
