Law Day - “Celebrate Democracy” - hosted by the Kootenay Bar Association
Date:- Saturday, May 5th
Time:- 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location:- Rossland Court House
Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, back in 1982. Lots of activities are planned for Law Day, including mock trials and mock bail hearings. Sheriffs will be on hand to open up the cells for the visitors and even a local retired judge will be available to chat with. There will be art contests for the kids and tours too.
The Rossland Court House and its services have served the community and area for 117 years - lots of history will be on display. Law Day coincides with the unwrapping of the recent exterior, brick restorative work - the public is invited to visit, learn and enjoy Law Day.
