JLandry when is the next Rossland recruitment window?

See below. Applications are open now. 

We practice once per week on Thursday 7-9pm, plus there is a requirment to attend a certain number of calls. Beyond that, there is generally a couple weekends per year for more intensive training, plus some home study. All time is paid. 

Other than the basic requirements below, all other training is provided, and while structured is flexible to meet each invidivual as they move through the qualifications, eventually leading to their NFPA 1001 level 2. This is the basic qualification for professional/career firefighters. 

I'm happy to answer any questions or have people visit the hall for a tour (there will also be open houses, stay tuned!)

How to Apply
Applications are open now and will close June 30, 2025.
Interested individuals must:

  • Be at least 19 years old and community minded,
  • Provide a clean criminal record check and driver’s abstract with no more than 6 demerits,
  • Be available for weekly training sessions from 7–9 p.m.
